One of our favorite things about the area is when Spring arrives, the weather is perfect and the Bluebonnets start to bloom! There are many areas nearby that are known for the flowers and one of the best is located right here in Kingsland. The Bluebonnet bridge is located between the railroad tracks of RR 1431 and near CR 302.

Looking for some fun things to do this winter in The Texas Hill Country!? Here are some of our favorites.
Visit Longhorn Caverns in Burnet. This is a great place to visit and is fun for adults and children. They are open 9am to 5pm every day except Christmas, and the cavern is a comfortable 68 degrees. Also in Burnet is the Vanishing Texas Tours. They have boat tours that range from bird watching to scenic tours and other special events. Please check their website for and updated list of times. http://www.longhorncaverns.com/vanishing-texas-tours Another great way to spend a day is to go exploring Marble Falls and their antique stores. There is the famous Blue Bonnet Cafe, which is a great place to have breakfast or lunch. There are also numerous restaurants in town such Francescos and River City Grille which are great choices for dinner. If you happen to be in Marble Falls in December the Walkway of Lights is a fun event for the whole family! One of our favorite things to do is get some Authentic Texas BBQ! There are many great places in the area. In Kingsland, there is Spykes BBQ and Dillahunty’s. A short drive away in Marble Falls is Wingman Bros BBQ and Holy Smokes BBQ. There are so many delicious options nearby and we will share those with you in one of our upcoming blogs! Welcome to our first blog!
We are Rio Vista Resort and we have been run by the Koenig family in Kingsland TX for the past 37 years. We started out as a small RV park and have grown into a large resort with many waterfront vacation rental homes, condos and we now have almost 100 RV spots! We turned a love of visiting the lake on the weekends into something we can now share with our children and grandchildren. We have met so many wonderful guests and employees and we can’t wait to share with you what made us fall in love with Lake LBJ and the Texas Hill Country! We look forward to welcoming you to Rio Vista Resort, Where memories are made! |
